      Acrylic paints are water-dispersed paints based on polyacrylates (mainly polymers of methyl-, ethyl- and butyl acrylates), as well as their copolymers as film-formers. They are used in construction for interior and exterior work and in painting. Acrylic paints, like other water-dispersible paints, can be diluted with water, when diluted they can be tinted with water-based pigment pastes, but after drying they become resistant to water. During application and during the entire service life, they do not emit toxic substances, since they do not contain organic solvents in the composition.
